Because young children are very different from one age to the next, we offer early classes appropriate for individual ages rather than class levels. ATL Crank (ages 4-17) Southern-hyped hip-hop style at it’s best! Ballet (ages 4-17) (1/hour) A program of consecutive ballet training, introducing the study of French vocabulary, basic barre and center steps. Focuses on discipline and strong development of technique. Beg/Intermediate Hip Hop (ages 14-17) Step it up a notch, with our beg & int. programs. Whether you want to perfect your craft for professional opportunities or just challenge your hip hop dance moves for the love of the art. This class is for you! Classes are led by professional dancers in the industry today! Breakdancing (drop-in ages 10-17) This class offers step-by-step instruction for all of the foundation Break Dance moves, and makes it easy for beginners to get started. Learn from master B-boy instructors! Jazz I (ages 14-17) offers a 30-minute warm-up that introduces more intermediate concepts of ballet and jazz, including jazz isolations and turns. This class is appropriate for novice older dancers, for those who want less structure than the Young Dancers program, or those who want to enter the program mid-year. Kids Hip Hop Drop-In (ages 5-8) this 45 minute class is a very popular high energy class, incorporates all those great moves done by some of the hottest performers plus the technique of putting the moves you want to learn into a choreographed routine. Taught by our high-energy experienced dance instructors. All classes are high energy and include a fun hip hop warm-up and free style session! Parent & Tots! (ages 3-5) 30 minutes - is a stimulating, fun and imaginative series of classes that introduce the fundamentals of dance while nurturing a child’s agility and musicality. Students learn to follow the teacher’s instructions while working in a challenging but supportive environment and interacting with their peers. Class begins with a general warm-up and stretch and introduces ballet vocabulary. By using games, props, toys and rhythm instruments, the class offers creative ways to challenge the child both mentally and physically. Parents are also challenged and encouraged to join in on all of the fun! PreJazz/Hip Hop (ages 4-13) offers a 30-minute warm-up that introduces basic concepts of ballet and jazz, including jazz isolations, and a 30 minute hip hop class. This class is appropriate for dancers who have had ballet training, for those who want less structure than the Young Dancers program, or those who want to enter the program mid-year. Dress Code: CLICK HERE FOR KIDS DANCE STORE Girls: Ballet components: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Short ballet skirts are optional. Jazz: All black dancewear: black jazz shoes. Hip Hop: Loose fitting casual clothing and sneakers. Boys: Ballet components: White t-shirt (not too large), black jazz pants and black ballet slippers.
